Kevin Brough

Kevin began his career as a Registered Massage Therapist after graduating from Kikkawa College in 1999. In addition to Swedish massage, he uses a number of different techniques including myofascial release, rebalancing, stretching and integration, cranial manipulation, structural integration, and Eslan deep tissue/Rolfing. His primary goal is to create ease of movement for the client through manipulation of muscles, joints, and other soft tissues.

In addition to his manual treatments, Kevin draws on his experience as a Coach, his study of Tai Chi/Qi Kung, and his experience with Pilates to give clients individually customized tools, such as stretches and exercises, that can be used between treatments so their quality of movement can continue to improve.

His philosophy of treatment/therapeutic approach is largely influenced by the ideas of Moshe Feldenkrais who believed that an increased quality of movement certainly increases the quality of life. Interpreted in its most basic form, improved physical movement is facilitated. In a deeper sense, an enhanced ease of physical movement can release stress and other emotional barriers that injury and pain carry with them.

Kevin believes life should be a constant effort to move forward and to improve oneself, as well as the lives of others around us.
